Screen Illawarra presents a weekend of Films and Workshops that celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through the inaugural First Nations Film Festival!

NAIDOC Week

is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

We’re fortunate to have some of the worlds finest films on offer this NAIDOC weekend and access to some exceptional filmmakers who will share their stories in Q&A’s.

First Nations Acting Masterclass with the multi award winning Casting Director Anousha Zarkesh who has more than 25 years of experience casting some of Australia’s most acclaimed film and television productions, Anousha is renowned for championing diverse voices and Indigenous talent.
